EXECUTIVE PROFILE

Leadership shaped by experience, responsibility and the realities of running a business.

Ian France brings more than 28 years of combined experience across law enforcement, sales, business development, executive leadership and operations.

His professional career began with ten years in law enforcement, working in situations where uncertainty, conflict and difficult decisions were part of the job. It was an environment that demanded sound judgement, an ability to understand people and a willingness to take responsibility when circumstances were far from ideal.

Those experiences helped shape his approach to leadership and later became an important foundation for his work in business.

Over the following eighteen-plus years, Ian developed his career across sales, business development, leadership and operations in Canadian, American and international business environments. His responsibilities extended from direct sales and business development to senior leadership, including managing performance, developing people, establishing priorities and improving execution.

As an entrepreneur and CEO, Ian has also experienced the pressures on the other side of those decisions. Building and operating a business means balancing opportunity against available resources, managing relationships and accepting that even sound plans can fail when people and execution are not aligned.

He understands that most owners do not wake up thinking they need a consultant. They recognize that something is not working as it should. Revenue may be inconsistent. Managers may operate with different expectations. Employees may be frustrated, communication may be breaking down, or the same organizational problems may return despite repeated attempts to address them.

Through Vantage Intelligence Group, Ian works with owners and leadership teams to understand the circumstances, identify underlying issues and determine what needs to change. His work draws on commercial strategy, sales leadership, organizational culture, management accountability and operational execution.

Depending on the situation, Vantage may provide an independent assessment, structured advisory support or direct involvement in implementing agreed changes. Specialist mandates are undertaken with appropriately qualified professionals where needed.

Ian believes effective advisory work requires understanding the people involved, respecting the realities of the organization and ensuring recommendations can actually be carried out.

The measure of good advice is what an organization is able to do with it.
